Somerset-based Mendip Stoves, renowned for crafting high-quality, design-led woodburning appliances, launched two exciting new products for winter: the Willow Freestanding Stove and the Woodland Large Oven.
Distributed by Eurostove – a trusted family-run supplier to the UK stove and fireplace trade – both models are already generating strong interest among customers seeking style, sustainability and exceptional performance.
The Willow Freestanding Stove: warmth, elegance and practicality
The new Mendip Stoves Willow Freestanding Stove combines modern aesthetics with smart, functional design. With its smooth, rounded body, milled stainless steel handle and understated minimalist look, it fits seamlessly into contemporary interiors and open-plan spaces. One of its standout features is the discreet, curved steel door beneath the main firebox, which cleverly hides storage for firelighters, matches and kindling – keeping essentials close by without compromising style.
Offering a heat output of 3kW to 6kW and an impressive 77.7% efficiency, the Willow Freestanding stove is suitable for rooms of various sizes and provides closed combustion for enhanced performance. A choice of top or rear flue exit allows for flexible installation, while its 8mm convection top plate ensures effective heat distribution. The sturdy 8mm base plate also guarantees long-term stability.
A large glass viewing window makes the stove an attractive focal point, showcasing the fire’s warm, dancing flames. Combined with its clean lines and contemporary finish, the Willow Freestanding stove is as much a design feature as it is a reliable heat source.
Chris Baines, Managing Director of Eurostove, said: “We’re thrilled to offer the new Willow Freestanding woodburner with its concealed storage for firelighters, matches and kindling, keeping the essentials within easy reach for a quick and easy winter warmer.”
Measuring H1000mm x W480mm x D419mm, this Ecodesign-compliant model suits whole-home renovations, new-build projects and upgrades to existing heating systems. The Willow Freestanding stove is priced from £1,896.
The Woodland Large Oven: heating and cooking in one
For homeowners looking to maximise space and functionality, Mendip Stoves has also unveiled the Woodland Large Oven – a woodburning stove that heats the home while doubling as a practical cooking appliance.
Ideal for farmhouse kitchens, rural cottages and the rise of the cottagecore aesthetic, this innovative model blends traditional charm with modern engineering.
The Woodland Large Oven features a built-in oven and cooking plate, enabling users to bake, roast or simmer dishes while enjoying the ambience of a real fire.
Crafted with a cast iron door and grate, and available with milled stainless steel handles or an optional black handle, this 7–9kW stove is designed for efficiency and durability. Its clean-lined design suits both classic and contemporary settings, while generous viewing windows offer a clear view of both the flames and the food cooking above.
With internal oven dimensions of 42cm (W) x 28cm (H) x 35cm (D), the oven reaches 200°C and is large enough for casseroles, baked potatoes or even cakes, thanks to the included oven rack. A steel plate between the stove and oven ensures even, consistent heat.
“The new Woodland Large Oven is more than just a wood burner,” says Chris. “It’s the hub of the home, adding a cosy centrepiece to kitchens or open-plan spaces. Complementing traditional contemporary interiors, it’s sleek, stylish and versatile – perfect for cooking supper and heating the home at the same. It really comes into its own during the colder months, and I can’t wait to use it for jacket potatoes and chestnuts over Christmas.”
